Group set is a group of Groups within the Entryfy board.
Group sets tab allows you to band Groups in order to assign new Users to a great number of Groups in a more convenient and time-efficient manner.
Note: You can assign user to a Group set only while creating the given user. Once user is saved, Group sets are no longer available - you'll need to add user to each group separately, one by one.
To create a Group set, click .
In the window that opens, you:
- Name the Group set (must)
- Describe the Group set (optional)
- Select the groups that you want to belong to the set from the list. The groups you want to add to the Group set must be created in advance on the Groups tab.
Click . Now, you can see your Group set on the list.
Click to edit - rename and add/remove groups - and delete Group sets.
With the Group set created, you can assign user to it while creating the user, at the sheet.
Read Users article to learn more about user creation and assignment procedures.
Note: Consider a Group set a virtual entity that exists only at the moment you're creating a user. Essentially, it's a feature allowing you to instantly assign a user to a number of groups. Group set does not create any connections among the groups belonging to it. If you add or remove groups from the Group set after users were assigned to it, the changes will not apply to these users.
You're free to create as many Group sets as you want. One group may belong to more than one Group set at the same time. One user can be assigned to more than one Group set
